Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF)

The next generation of PRP. Use your body’s own growth factors to rejuvenate your skin.

What is PRF?

Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a second-generation version of PRP therapy. PRF has a higher concentration of platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells. In addition, PRF has a small percentage of stem cells, which cannot be found in traditional PRP therapy. Our advanced process carefully separates growth factors and stem cells from your own blood, using a specialized centrifuge system. This ensures optimal potency for remarkable results. The Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) technique uses the latest generation of Smart Blood Concentrates to generate a complex Fibrin Matrix rich in Platelets, Leukocytes and Mesenchymal stem-cells. For 10-12 days the constant release of Growth Factors accelerates tissue healing and the skin’s regeneration process promoting collagen production.

Frequently Asked Questions.

PRF will help minimize fine lines and wrinkles when done in conjunction with other treatments. Platelet-rich fibrin also helps reduce enlarged pores and helps build collagen and elastin, which will help to tighten and firm the skin. In addition, Acne Scars, and even regular scars, can be dramatically improved.

The PRF technique was designed to help improve various problematic skin conditions. By rebuilding collagen and stimulating new cell regeneration, we can minimize the damage and scarring from acne. A series of micro-needling and PRF injections will be necessary and can be customized to each patient.

The face, neck, chest and hands are the most commonly applied areas. Once you’ve met with a medical provider, we can create a personalized treatment plan.

As long as the suggested treatment plan is maintained with proper skin care products recommended by your treatment provider, results can last 4-6 months (or longer) with as little as one treatment. We recommend averaging two to three (2-3) treatments annually to sustain desired results for regular maintenance and rejuvenation.

Pre + Post Care Instructions

The PRF procedure requires no preconditioning of the skin prior to treatment. Please increase your intake of fluid the day before your procedure by simply drinking 2 extra glasses of water in the morning and the afternoon, if possible. Try to eat a normal breakfast or lunch the day of your PRF session, to avoid lightheadedness. Avoid aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Iburprofen, Naproxen, Voltaren or any other anti-inflammatory medications for at least 3 days before your procedure. We want inflammation to occur – as this is one mechanism by which PRF works! You may take Tylenol for any pains, discomforts or joint pains you may have.
Post treatment you may resume normal activities. If the PRF treatment is done in conjunction with micro-needling, sun exposure should be limited for the first 24*48 hours, and makeup should not be worn for at least 24 hours. Your particular post care may vary based on the extent of your PRF procedure and/or its conjunction with other treatments. We ask that you limit excessive exercise on the day of the treatment, and treat any post injection irritations with Tylenol and/or ice. Flying same day, post treatment, is not recommended.
